The recommended dose limits are; anyone over the age of 14 should not take over 8 mg a day, this includes pregnant and nursing mothers. Children 9-13 should consume less than 5mg a day. Children 4-8 should take no more than 3 mg a day. Children 1-3 no more than 1 mg a day.
